Botanical Garden
Botanical Gardens (Marulićev trg 9A, Zagreb) – located in the city center, these grounds, founded in 1889, consists of an Enlgish-style arboretum, rock gardens, ponds with lily-pads, French-inspired flowerbeds, and as many as 10 glasshouses. Of the 10,000 plant species that are here, most come from Croatia, while others come from elsewhere (as far as the Orient). Hours: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm (Monday & Tuesday), 9:00 am – 7:00 pm (Wednesday – Sunday) (April – October). Free admission.
